2. Information we collect

Our website enquiry form collects:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Business name

  • Website address

  • Your message

Your first name, email address and message are required. The remaining fields are optional and help us understand your business and requirements.

We also receive any additional information you choose to provide through emails or other correspondence. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless we have agreed that it is necessary.

If you become a client, we collect the information needed to manage your project, agreement, invoices and payments. Our website accepts enquiries only and does not process online orders or card payments.

3. How and why we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and discuss your requirements.

  • Prepare quotations and proposals.

  • Deliver and manage services you request.

  • Communicate about your project and any agreed ongoing support.

  • Maintain necessary business and accounting records.

  • Address complaints, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

Under UK data protection law, we rely on the following lawful bases:

Contract: Where processing is necessary to take steps you request before entering into a contract with you, or to deliver services under that contract.

Legitimate interests: Where processing is necessary to respond to business enquiries, communicate with representatives of organisations, administer our services, protect our systems or address disputes. We consider your rights and interests when relying on this basis.

Legal obligation: Where we must retain records or disclose information to comply with applicable law.

Consent: Where we specifically request your permission for a particular use of your information. You can withdraw that permission at any time.

Providing information is voluntary, but without sufficient contact details and information about your enquiry, we may be unable to respond or provide a quotation.

4. Marketing communications

We do not send newsletters or promotional emails.

We use your contact details to respond to your enquiry and communicate about services you request. Submitting an enquiry does not give consent to unrelated marketing or optional website tracking.

5. Service providers and information sharing

We use Wix to host our website and Google’s Gmail service to manage email correspondence. These providers handle information as necessary to provide their services.

Where necessary, relevant information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Further information about our providers is available in the Wix Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy.

Where we process personal information on a client’s instructions while delivering website or marketing services, the client’s privacy information and the relevant processing agreement also apply.

6. Processing outside the United Kingdom

Domenico works between the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Business enquiries and client information may therefore be accessed and handled in either country.

Wix and Google operate internationally, and information handled through their services may be processed outside the United Kingdom. The applicable arrangements depend on the provider, service and processing location.

Google describes its international transfer safeguards, including adequacy arrangements and contractual safeguards where applicable, in its data transfer information. Wix provides information about its handling of personal information through its published privacy and data protection terms.

You can contact us for further information about the arrangements relevant to your information.

7. How long we keep your information

Enquiries that do not become projects

We delete personal information relating to unsuccessful enquiries 12 months after our last substantive contact with you. This allows time for you to revisit a proposed project.

We may delete information sooner where it is no longer needed or where a valid request for deletion requires this.

If discussions remain active, or relevant information is needed for a complaint, legal claim or legal obligation, we retain only what is necessary for that purpose and review it when the matter ends.

Client and project records

We retain relevant information while delivering your project and any agreed ongoing support. Afterwards, we retain only records necessary for accounting obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, taking account of the relevant legal time limits.

UK self-employment tax records are normally retained for at least five years after the 31 January submission deadline for the relevant tax year. Longer periods may apply where required by law or an ongoing tax enquiry.

Deleting information

Our deletion process covers relevant enquiry records in website tools, email and other working copies under our control. We review information regularly and remove records we no longer need.

8. Your rights

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal information.

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

  • Request deletion of information.

  • Ask us to restrict how information is used.

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

  • Receive certain information in a portable format.

  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on your permission.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your circumstances. You also have an unconditional right to object to direct marketing.

These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. For example, we may need to retain certain records to meet legal obligations.

To exercise your rights, contact Dom.digitaladvantage@gmail.com. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within the applicable legal timeframe.

9. Questions and complaints

Please contact Domenico Forgione at Dom.digitaladvantage@gmail.com if you have questions or concerns about how your personal information is handled.

You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Where New Zealand privacy law applies, you may also have rights to access and correct information and complain to the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services, information handling or legal obligations. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
